To Epic Human Stories
written by candlelight
Your brain is the single best piece of technology you’ll ever have access to.
Your attention is the scarce resource that it creates.
But brains are lazy.
One has to train the brain to get it to work better.
You can also re-frame thoughts to make this easier.
One such re-frame is: “My attention is worth $1000/hr.”
Or at least it could be.
Do you believe your attention could be worth $1000 per hour?
The first time this really dawned on me when was I was paid $650 for an hour to talk about advisortech.
It was all potential until it happened.
I received the notice of payment.
Huh… very interesting.
Can I spend more of my time talking about advisortech?
Would there be a way to leverage this specific knowledge even further?
I mentioned that the Kitces Value Summit was $33,333 per hour. (575 x $300ish)/5
Some people’s time can be worth up to that number.
It IS possible.
If you understand this, your brain is now forever changed.
Isn’t that cool?
Do you know of any more powerful AdvisorTech than that?
Not more powerful per se, but there is one technology that is custom built to multiply specific knowledge like this in a leveraged way.
A way you can actually monetize.
It’s called the internet.
But really all the internet is is a way to connect all the human brains in the world.
Without human brains, it would be pointless.
Tools on the internet like Google, YouTube, LinkedIn are very, very valuable but there’s not a direct path to monetizing your specific knowledge using these tools. “Direct path” being the key word here.
Enter Skool.
Now you can organize all your specific knowledge, whether it be in written, audio, video, webinar, course, community form…
and package it and sell it.
But not in a per hour or per year price.
In a $ per value price, meaning the price someone is willing to pay for it no matter how much time it takes you.
This may be the most powerful money-making concept anywhere.
This is how passion finds financial freedom.
And this ultimately… is what we’re all after I think…
To have control of our time. To do things we love, with the people we love, and make an impact while we’re at it.
Maybe even help others find their passion and then find financial freedom.
Freedom to build a great life.
Faith, Fitness, Family, Friendships, Work that Serves Others
This is the great life!
The life research has shown makes us the most happy.
And financial advisors, after all, are life planners.
Or life coaches.
And this is why I think this profession is one of the best on Earth.
And why what I do, helping financial advisors run better practices…
Fires me up!
But there are a lot of distracting tools, voices, ideas… floating around right now.
And is why I’m trying to distill the noise down to its very essence.
The liquid gold of best practices, best technology, best marketing first principles.
You can find the fastest growing advisors and literally copy their tech stack and their marketing.
In this book, I’ll show you how.
To Epic Human Stories,
Joe
P.S. I wrote this by hand, by candlelight. Every word you’ve just read. And then typed it on a “bicycle for the mind.”
Ok, fine, I’m weird. I like being weird. :)

Very hygge!
